A Christmas Eve tragedy in St. Tammany leaves more questions than answers.
According to the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to a home on Dockside Drive just after 8 this morning. Deputies found a man punched his wife, retrieved a gun, shot his 15-year-old in the arm then fled into a garage where he turned the fire arm on himself. He was transported to a local-area hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
The son was also transported to a local-area hospital and is being treated for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
