Walk On’s restaurants will be showcased on national television with the season premiere of Undercover Boss on CBS tonight.
Co-Founder Brandon Landry and investor Drew Brees will be disguised to work with the staff at some of the locations throughout the chain.
Landry says the CBS makeup team had a big challenge cloaking Brees.
“Drew went under for about three and half hours to get prostetics and make up," says Landry. "He walked down Poydras Street and people walked by him like he was a normal person. Drew did not get that.”
Landry says Brees was only available for one day of production at the location near the Superdome, but Brees got plenty of work done that day.
“He followed a gentleman in there and washed dishes and bussed tables all night.
We filmed 'til two-or-three in the morning. Pulled it off, pretty special episode.”
Landry says they are holding watch parties at all 33 locations with food and drink specials, as well as giveaways.
“Drew signed a ball for each one of the restaurants. So we’re going to pick a winner, we’ll have 33 signed Drew Brees footballs. At all the restaurants, we’re going to pick a winner that night, we’ll have free beignets and things like that.”
Tonight’s episode of “Undercover Boss” with Drew Brees is at 7pm on WWL-TV.
