Now that we know where LSU is playing and who they are up against, we get the early line on the Peach Bowl between the Tigers and Oklahoma Sooners.
With still over 2 weeks to go before #1 LSU and #4 Oklahoma meet in Atlanta, December 28, oddsmaker spokesman Scott Cooley gives us the odds.
"LSU is a 12 and a half point favorite and we are looking at an over and under of 75 and a half points," Cooley said.
That's not surprising according to Cooley.
"You've got the two number one scoring offenses in the country squaring off against each other," Cooley said. "The fans love to see scoring and I think these teams are going to get up and down the field."
One note, a number one seed has never won the National Championship but Cooley says while that's a good point...."In this business, the trends only go so far, they don't pay the bills, and somebody's going to buck it at some point," Cooley noted.
And at +125, LSU is the favorite to win the College Football Championship, to be played January 13 here in New Orleans. LSU meets Oklahoma in Atlanta on December 28 with a 3:00 p.m. kickoff.
