Crews are closing multiple lanes of I-10 east in Slidell this weekend and next weekend.
"The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces upcoming, double lane closures on Interstate 10 eastbound, between the Twin Spans and LA 433 (Old Spanish Trail)," according to a news release from DOTD.
Workers are replacing the concrete on the Oak Harbor overpass.
"The continuous closure will last from 7:00 p.m., Friday, June 19th, through 4 p.m., Monday, June 22nd. There will also be another closure from 7 p.m., Friday, June 26th, through 4 p.m., Monday, June 29th. All work is weather permitting."
While one lane of traffic will remain open at all times, long delays are expected.
"Motorists may encounter excessive delays during the peak times of this closure. All emergency vehicles will have access on I-10."
