The family of Leah Chase held a public viewing Saturday for the late Queen of Creole Cuisine.
It ran from 10:00am to 4:30pm at Xavier University.
At 6:00 p.m., the family is hosting "a celebratory program," also at Xavier University, in the Convocation Center at 7910 Stroelitz Street.
It is also open to the pubic.
Burial is set for Monday after a noon Mass at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church, 1923 St. Philip Street, New Orleans.
Visitation Monday will be from 8:00am to 10:30am.
Chase died last weekend at the age of 96.
