Get ready sunshine is coming, finally along with cooler temperatures.
Thanks to an upper low pushing toward the east and breaking up the clouds, New Orleans will get its first taste of sunshine in quite some time.
It'll come over the weekend.
Chilly temperatures will be behind the cold front.
"All of our rainfall is now long gone," said WWL-TV meteorologist Chris Franklin. "The cloud cover is going to hang around but I think steadily through the afternoon we should see clearing skies."
