A fire breaks out at popular Lakeview sports bar Parlay’s Wednesday morning.
The restaurant is located at 870 Harrison Avenue near Canal Boulevard and is a beloved favorite of Lakeview residents.
As WWL-TV reports, the owner of Lakeview Burgers and Seafood, next door to Parlay’s, said her alarm system at her restaurant alerted her to the fire about 4:30 a.m.
It too was heavily damaged from the fire.
New Orleans Fire Department was quick to the scene and got the fire under control.
The fire is believed to have been started in the kitchen of Parlay’s but the actual cause of the fire is under investigation. No one was hurt in the fire.
Parlay's reopened Saturday as part of Phase II. The restaurant has been in business for 25 years.
This is the second fire in two days. On Tuesday a fire destroyed much of Gendusa’s Italian Market in Rivertown.
