Flash flood warning for Jefferson, St. Charles and Lafourche parishes

The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for Jefferson, Lafourche, and St. Charles parishes through 10:00 p.m. Tuesday.

Some parts of New Orleans are also reporting street flooding.

"Scattered showers and thunderstorms will mainly wrap up this evening as a July cold front moves over us toward the coast," said WWL-TV meteorologist Alexandra Cranford. "A few pockets of heavy rain will be possible."

Once the front passes through, the drop in humidity should be noticebale.

"We should be able to feel the break in humidity, and we’ll also have a nice, sunny, dry day on Wednesday. It’ll still be warm in the upper 80s, but lower humidity should make it feel nicer."
