
After another foggy start to the day, we will climb to record highs today.
"Today will be another day with record high temperatures!" WWL-TV Meteorologist Dave Nussbaum said. "Once the fog dissipates, we will see some sunshine and that will allow us to get into the lower 80s."
The record today is 80° set in 2018.
"Tonight a strong cold front will move through with scattered showers and a few rumbles of thunder," Nussbaum said. "It will turn MUCH COLDER with lows in the 40s."
We won't see much of a warm up during the day tomorrow.
"Friday will be a much colder day. High temperatures will only rebound into the lower 50s."
It gets even colder for Saturday morning.

FRIDAY:Cloudy, windy and much colder with a 20% chance for light rain or drizzle in the morning. Highs around 52, feeling like 40s. Wind N 15-25 mph.
SATURDAY:Partly cloudy, breezy and chilly. Cold lows north of the lake around 35 feeling like 20s - protect pets, people, and cold south of the lake around 41 feeling like 30s - protect pets, people. Highs around 54 feeling like 40s.
SUNDAY:Mostly cloudy and milder with a 20% chance for isolated showers. Chilly lows north of the lake around 45 and cool south of the lake around 50. Highs around 69.
MONDAY:Morning dense fog, then mostly cloudy, breezy and milder with a 40% chance for scattered showers or thunderstorms. Lows around 60. Highs around 74.
TUESDAY:Morning dense fog, then mostly cloudy, windy and milder with a 60% chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms. Lows around 64. Highs around 77.
