Investigators say they've discovered that an ex-prison guard at the Louisiana State Penitentiary at Angola had an ``inappropriate relationship'' with an inmate.
30-year-old Courtnee Anderson of Natchez, Mississippi has been booked and charged with one count of malfeasance in office by West Feliciana Parish sheriff's deputies.
Officials with the Louisiana Department of Corrections say the relationship was uncovered using evidence found on a contraband cellphone seized recently from an inmate. Anderson has admitted to the misconduct, and resigned during the course of the investigation. Anderson had worked as a guard at Angola since the end of January. She held the rank of sergeant.
