Former Bogalusa Chamber of Commerce Dir. indicted on theft charge

Former Bogalusa Chamber of Commerce Director Marilyn Bateman is indicted on stealing money form the organization.

A grand jury in Washington Parish handed up the indictment on Tuesday. Assistant District Attorney Blair B. Alford presented the case to the grand jury.

According to District Attorney Warren Montgomery, 77-year-old Bateman allegedly stole at least $100,000 from the Chamber of Commerce.
