More than a hundred people packed the upstairs ballroom at Manning's Restaurant Friday night for the roast of retired WWL-TV Chief Meteorologist Carl Arredondo.

Arredondo recently retired from broadcasting due to a degenerative eye disorder that is slowly taking his vision. The roast served as way to both honor the 27-year veteran WWL forecaster and as a fundraiser for Lighthouse Louisiana, a nonprofit that assists the visually and hearing impaired.
WWL-TV Morning Show host Eric Paulsen was Master of Ceremonies, and roasters included current and former broadcasters, friends, and family.
Among those taking jabs at Carl were WWL-TV alumni Mike Hoss, Dennis Woltering, Laura Buchtel, and Jim Henderson, along with Gambit Publisher Clancy DuBos, Carl's son Carl IV, girlfriend Isis Casanova, and former WWL-TV News Director Joe Duke.
