TV shows, movies and lots of stars heat things up in Hollywood South this summer.
There'll be plenty of big names in the city to shoot both feature film projects and TV shows.
And, Chris Stelly, Executive Group Director of Louisiana Entertainment, says some of those projects feature stars that are making encore appearances in New Orleans.
"We have a project called Mona Lisa and the Blood Moon with Kate Hudson. She's also filmed three other movies here. The show also stars Zac Efron who was here in the past, as well."
Stelly says a travel through time that began 29 years ago will be updated in New Orleans this summer. "Bill and Ted Face the Music, of course, is the third in that series, starring both Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter."

"We've got Unhinged with Russell Crowe, and I'm told that he's now in town. We've got a project with Bryan Cranston, called Your Honor. So, a lot going on this summer."
Jennifer Lawrence, Craig Robinson, Kim Cattrall and Gerald McRaney will also be working here the next couple of months.
And, as for TV productions:
"We've got season two of The Purge filming here through mid-September. We've got Queen Sugar through mid-July. And, we've got Disney here right now with a project called Sulphur Springs. NCIS: New Orleans has wrapped for this season, but they'll be back pretty soon to film another season."
In all, more than two dozen TV and movie projects will be completed here in New Orleans by the end of summer.
"So there's a good balance between feature films and TV series," says Stelly. "We're probably looking at 50-50 split right now. TV series are, of course, what's providing us with longer term jobs and things like that, but we like to have the independent and the studio pictures here, as well."
And, he says they like being here. "You've got such great locations and diverse locations, and a great work force. And, you know, it's just a great place to work and play in. And there's certainly no end in sight. I'm sure once these projects wrap, we'll see an even busier fall."
