Have you noticed the Louisiana State Police Dodge Chargers with the harder to see, reflective sliver lettering on the interstate lately?
They have been getting a lot of attention on social media as more people get pulled over and ticketed by so-called 'Ghost Troopers' and state police in unmarked cars.
The less visible, semi-marked and unmarked Dodge Chargers blend into traffic and help catch those drivers who choose to drive recklessly. Sergeant Melissa Matey told WWL First News there is a reason these vehicles are out there.
"They will be dressed in their uniforms when they get out of the car," Matey added.
The idea according to State Police is to keep the highways safe.
Troopers have been using these less visible cars for more than a year.
