Governor: Now 67 coronavirus cases in Louisiana

Taking into account the latest tests of over 140 people, the number of coronavirus presumptive positive tests has leapt to 67 in the state of Louisiana.  

An additional 15 cases were announced by the Louisiana Department of Health this morning. 

Then, before 12:30 this afternoon Governor John Bel Edwards announced the number rose by another 16 cases to 67.  

Initially this morning, the majority of cases COVID-19 infections continue be in the New Orleans area. 

It is not known where these new numbers are coming from.  According to the Louisiana Department of Public Health website as of 9:30 this morning: 36-people in Orleans Parish tested positive. 

Health officials say so far all of the state tested positive cases have later been confirmed by CDC.
