Heavy rain causes street flooding in Gretna, strong storms in LaPlace

The National Weather service reports heavy rain on the Westbank filled streets with water.

The downpour prompted a flood advisory for the Westbank.

Meanwhile St. John The Baptist and Ascension Parishes are under a Significant Weather Advisory for a strong thunderstorm.
