New Orleans is preparing for company. Christmas in New Orleans is becoming kind of a big deal.
New Orleans has been working on its reputation as a holiday destination.
"Holidays New Orleans Style, which is well underway now, has got the sights, and sounds, and flavors of New Orleans and those are being touted across the country, and people from actually around the world are coming to the city," said New Orleans Tourism and Marketing corporation president Mark Romig.
Romig said it only gets bigger.
"It's going to be an amazing experience, all the football that we have coming to the city of New Orleans," said Romig. "Not only the Allstate Sugar Bowl, and...the New Orleans Bowl this coming weekend, but we also have the national football championship, the college football championship that will be played here on January 13th, and that's not even talking about what the New Orleans Saints will be bringing."
