Hot and humid today before a cold front moves in the area.
It will drop high temperatures from the upper 80s today to low 70s tomorrow.
A stronger cold front comes this weekend bringing the possibility of severe weather with it all day on Easter Sunday.
WWL-TV’s Dave Nussbaum says, “High temperatures will be in the upper 80s. The record high is 86 set back in 1999 and we will break that today! The cold front will stall along the coast tonight and an upper-level disturbance will move along it. This will spread showers and storms over our area starting this evening and continuing until sunrise Friday. It will become breezy and cooler with lows in the upper 50s north and mid-60s south.”
