Captain Jason Rivarde says the Metairie couple initially contacted JPSO in October.  They stated in 2018 they had contracted McClellan to purchase furnishings for a home they were building in Lafourche Parish.  When they met, McClellan identified herself as Stacy Ivasic and said she was the owner of NOLA Interior Design.  They paid her over $57,000 in four checks written between July and September 2018 but never received their furniture.

JPSO's investigation also uncovered four complaints filed in 2019 with the Better Business Bureau, with one grievence saying McClellan demanded an upfront payment of $9,000 and never provided any services or items.

New Orleans Police arrested McClellan in December 2018 and charged her with theft.  She plead guilty in October last year, sentenced to probation and ordered to pay restitution.

JPSO says a warrant for her arrest was sworn out November 12th and it was learned she was in Nashville at the time.  She was arrested a month later in Nashville and extradited to Jefferson Parish where she was charged.

Nashville investigators arrested McClellan in January 2019 and charged her with felony theft over $10,000.  She was rebooked on an additional charge in May.
