New Orleans Saints and Pelicans owner Gayle Benson is donating $5 million to Jesuit High School. Jesuit will rename its basketball facilities after Gayle and Tom Benson.

The New Orleans Advocate reports it is the largest gift in the school's history.

Dennis Lauscha, president of the Saints, Pelicans, and Dixie Beer, and Saints and Pelicans senior vice-president of communications Greg Bensel are both Jesuit grads.

"My connection to Jesuit comes primarily through Dennis Lauscha -- I'm so proud to say -- our team president, both Pelicans and Saints, and Greg Bensel, our senior vice-president," Benson said in a speech at the event. "They have both been incredibly loyal to my late husband, Tom Benson."

Tom Benson attended St. Aloysius, which merged with Cor Jesu to become Brother Martin High School. Brother Martin has received millions of dollars in donations from the Bensons.
