Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office homicide detectives are investigating a fatal shooting in the 1300 block of South Wilson Street.
The sheriff's office says it dispatched to the scene around 4:00 p.m.
"Responding deputies found the victim, a 38-year-old Metairie man, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds," the sheriff's office said in a statement. "He was pronounced dead on the scene."
