Senator John Kennedy has effectively said there's nothing to see here when it comes to the Democrats in the House opening in impeachment inquiry.
"Some of our Democratic friends," Kennedy says. "They are just plain unhappy that the American people chose Donald Trump to the President of the United States."
As the White House prepares to release the unredacted transcript of the Ukraine phone call Kennedy stated he expects to see an investigation opened into the activities of Joe Biden's son Hunter. He says Biden was paid 600,000 dollars to sit on the board of a Ukrainian oligarch’s gas company.
“Maybe the Ukrainian oligarch got Hunter Biden’s name off of ZipRecruiter, but I kind of doubt it," Kennedy quipped.
"They've been throwing a tantrum for two and half years," Kennedy said.
Kennedy also pointed out House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, though she declared the President "betrayed the oath of his office," she didn't say President Trump was being impeached.
“What she really said was we are going to continue investigating the President and see if we can find something to impeach him on. Uh, they’ve been doing it for a year and a half,” said Kennedy.
