Krewe of Cleopatra founder Delores "Tuttie" Kepner died Thursday at the age of 89, the krewe announced today.
"It is with the heaviest of hearts that we share the news that our Captain, Tuttie, peacefully passed away on July 2, 2020," the krewe's Facebook post reads.

"Those of us who were fortunate enough to know her will remember her as a charismatic friend and loving person. Her greatest love was for her family, which included the Krewe. "
Kepner founded the all-female krewe in 1972, which traditionally parades Uptown on the first Friday of parade season -- eleven days before Fat Tuesday.
