Lakeside Shopping Center in Metairie will reopen Tuesday, May 19, the mall announced today.
The mall's hours will be from 11:00 a.m. through 7:00 p.m. Monday-Saturday, and noon - 6:00 p.m. Sundays.
The mall's new procedures are as follows:
- Occupancy is limited to 25% in accordance with the State Fire Marshal’s guidelines.
- Hand sanitizer placed at all entrances
- Hand-washing stations at Center Court near Café du Monde
- All staff should wear face masks and follow strict, frequent hand-washing procedures.
- Increase the frequency of cleaning and disinfecting all public restrooms.
- Increase the frequency of cleaning and disinfecting surfaces repeatedly touched by employees or customers, such as door handles, handrails, elevator buttons, tables and counters.
- Encourage customers to wear face masks when entering the main mall.
- The mall food court is open for to-go and curbside only. Orders may be placed at the counters, but the dining area is closed.
- Social Distancing floor decals will be placed in the main mall to maintain a 6-ft distance between individuals
- Encourage Mall Merchants to physically mark required spacing limits using floor decals or other clear visual methods inside their stores.
- Socializing in groups of more than 10 people in the main mall area is not allowed.
- Security to encourage/enforce social distancing practices.
The food court will be open for delivery or curbside pickup only. Orders can be placed at the counters, but the dining area will remain closed, as will the Kids' Castle Play Area.
