Jefferson Parish continues to pull ahead of Orleans with 30 new cases overnight.
One person succumb to the infection overnight in Jefferson Parish.
There are 6,709 cases with 397 deaths.
The numbers of infections, day-over-day, continue to go down in both parishes.
This is despite there being steady rises in the numbers across the state.
There are 1,324 people hospitalized in the state with 161 on ventilators.
In total there are 20,316 people who have recovered from the virus.
