Here is a parish-by-parish list of what we have so far. If you know of a school closure that you don't see on here, you can email WWLNewsRoom@yahoo.com

ARCHDIOCESE OF NEW ORLEANS: 

All Catholic schools in St. Bernard Parish, Plaquemines Parish, St. Charles Parsh and St. John the Baptist Parish will be closed Monday and Tuesday.

Schools in Orleans Parish, Jefferson Parish, St. Tammany Parish and Washington Parish will be allowed to decide if they want to close or continue with virtal classes or in-person classes on Monday.

All Catholic schools will be closed on Tuesday.

LAFOURCHE:

All offices and schools of the Lafourche Parish School Board will be closed on Monday, Sept. 14 and Tuesday, Sept. 15.

All employees will work remotely Monday and Tuesday, and virtual learning will be offered to all students, however, if power outages become an issue, all virtual activities will be canceled. Any student that is unable to complete the assignments will be excused and allowed to make up any missed work.

 All Catholic schools in the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux will be closed Monday and Tuesday.

PLAQUEMINES:

All schools within the Plaquemines Parish School Board will be closed on Monday, September 14 and Tuesday, September 15th.

Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Belle Chasse will be closed Monday and Tuesday. Reopening information will be announced at a later date

ST CHARLES: 

- Public schools closed Monday through Wednesday for both in-person and virtual learning

- Catholic schools closed Monday and Tuesday

ST. BERNARD:

St. Bernard Parish Public School System schools and offices will be closed Monday September14, 2020. This closure includes students currently enrolled in our virtual learning program. District officials will continue to monitor the situation, and further updates will be provided on social media accounts and websites.

Nunez Community College will close Monday, Sept. 14 in anticipation of Tropical Storm Sally. Available classes will be offered virtually. Updates for Sept. 15 and beyond will be posted to Nunez.edu and all Nunez social media accounts. 

Our Lady of Prompt Succor in Chalmette will be closed Monday and Tuesday. Reopening information will be announced at a later date.

ST. JOHN:

- Public and Private schools closed Monday and Tuesday

JEFFERSON:

Jefferson Parish Schools and Administration Buildings will be closed Monday, September 14 and Tuesday, September 15.  All school and district activities and events during this two-day period are cancelled. Any evening activities, including Back-to-School events, are also cancelled and will be rescheduled for a later date.

Concordia Lutheran School will be closed Monday. Closure decisions will be made daily by school administrators. 

ORLEANS: 

-Orleans Public Schools- No in-person instruction will begin across school campuses tomorrow. All schools will remain on distance learning through at least Wednesday of this week

-NOCCA student classes/distance learning is cancelled Monday and Tuesday

- Delgado Community College - Remote work Monday

-UNO- Monday and Tuesday: All Monday courses will be delivered online. All Tuesday classes (in-person, online and hybrid) are canceled.  No face-to-face courses will meet on campus on Monday. Only essential personnel should report to campus Monday and Tuesday. All other employees should work remotely Monday.Tuesday is an emergency closure day for all other employees. Campus Dining will continue to offer food service for students living in the residence halls. 

-Loyola University- Loyola University New Orleans will be open for operations as normal tomorrow until 4 p.m. Evening classes on Monday are suspended. Operations will be suspended Tuesday.

-Tulane- Classes will be held until noon Monday. Both online and in-person classes are canceled Monday afternoon through Tuesday. Wednesdays operating status will be determined in the coming days.

-University of Holy Cross classes scheduled for Monday and Tuesday, are cancelled. This is inclusive of both remote and on-campus classes.

ST. TAMMANY:

All St. Tammany Parish Public Schools will be closed on Monday. This includes all virtual learning. A decision about Tuesday will be made on Monday.
