Officials are hoping to show the nation great things about Livingston Parish today.
"Our goal is to showcase our southern hospitality, charm, fun, smiling faces & food!" officials said in a news release about the homecoming event for American Idol top 3 finalist Laine Hardy this evening.
Portions of the event will be broadcast during American Idol on ABC Sunday night.
Here are the details...
- Parade scheduled to start: 5:15p
- The parade will start at the Livingston Post Office & end at the ENTRANCE of the Livingston Parish Fairgrounds.
ROUTE:
- Will travel down 63 to 190. Left on 190. Will finish at the entrance to LP Fairgrounds
PARKING NOTES:
- Please park at the Livingston Parish Fairgrounds & walk to line the route. (Fairground gates will open at 3pm to allow parking prior to parade.)
- Florida Blvd entrance will be the ONLY entry into the fairgrounds.
- Deputies will be on site to direct for parking
- There will be NO PARKING along the route - Hwy 63 or Hwy 190
