The Office of Motor Vehicles reopened Monday to limited services and long lines of people waiting for hours to just get through the front door.

Two months ago, Governor John Bel Edwards shut down all of the state’s OMV offices to combat the spread of the coronavirus. Now that Louisiana has moved into Phase 1 of economic reopening, 11 offices reopened across the state to limited services and only 25% occupancy.
