The Louisiana Children’s Museum opens its doors to its brand new facility in City Park tomorrow morning. It's a place that is both playful and educational for children and their families. The new facility that is a bit larger than it's original location with lots of outdoor space, according to Julia Bland CEO with the Children's museum.
"It's 56 thousand square feet," Bland said. "It has wonderful gracious wrap-a-round porches and we are on an 8 and 1/2 acre site on a lagoon."
And there are 2 floors of new interactive exhibits and some old favorites re-imagined.
There is a lot of information in our new museum that is geared for adults as they help their children realize their potential," said Bland.
Saturday is free admission but the museum is also open Sunday and Monday.
There are some incredible things that kids can do both inside in our new exhibit gallery but also outside in these magical grounds that we've created in the middle of City Park," Bland added.
The Louisiana Children's Museum will open at noon tomorrow, Saturday and Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
