Louisiana is boosting its seatbelt enforcement efforts during the Memorial Day weekend.

The Louisiana Highway Safety Commission says a "Click It or Ticket" campaign is being enforced now through June 3rd.

Officers will be on the lookout for drivers and passengers who aren't buckled up, issuing $50 tickets for those violating the Louisiana law that requires everyone in a moving car to wear a seatbelt.

Money is being provided to law enforcement agencies by the safety commission to help them with ticket-writing efforts for the seatbelt campaign.
