Dakota Theriot, suspected of murdering five people in two parishes earlier this year, will face the death penalty, Livingston Parish prosecutors announced today.
That announcement came during Theriot's arraignment on three counts of first degree murder,
The Advocate reports. Theriot is charged with murdering his girlfriend, Summer Ernest, and her father and brother, Billy and Tanner Ernest, in Livingston Parish.
Theriot is also accused of murdering his own parents, Keith and Elizabeth Theriot, in Ascension Parish, in January.
Theriot entered a not guilty plea to the Livingston Parish crimes today. The Advocate reports he has not yet been indicted in Ascension Parish.
