The Louisiana department of health today reported 32 more coronavirus deaths, pushing the total for the state to 1,328.
There was also an increase of 595 confirmed COVID-19 cases, for a statewide total of 24,523.
The number of people hospitalized increased by 46. There are now 1,794 patients in hospitals, with 332 of those on ventilators.
That's a drop of 17 from Sunday.
The decreased ventilator use is good news, but the net increase of nearly 50 additional people in hospitals shows an uptick in the spread.
