A Louisiana woman visiting family in Florida found herself behind bars after authorities say she beat her wife with a bedpost during a fight over marijuana.
Ashley Perkins is charged with aggravated battery after cops say she attacked her spouse.
Investigators say the two argued about their missing marijuana, that was found to have gone through the washing machine.
That's when they say things escalated and Perkins allegedly hit her wife in the head, arm and legs with the bedpost.
Jail records show bond was set at $250,000.
Perkins made bail after spending three days in jail.
Published reports say that she told police that her wife beat herself with the bedpost.
Her address is listed in Youngsville, Louisiana. That's just south of Lafayette.
