American Idol's on Sunday night crowned it's winner for the 2019 season and it's none other than Laine Hardy from Livingston Parish in Louisiana.

He attended French Settlement High School. He started a group called The Band Hardy.

He accompanied his hometown friend Ashton Gill on guitar for her audition, but the judges, all of whom remembered him from the year before, and convinced the 19-year-old to audition on his own and both Ashton and Laine made it through to the Hollywood Week round.

Along with music, he enjoyed fishing and hunting.

In Alejandro's first audition, the Idol hopeful shared that he grew up in Pomona, California, and was homeschooled.

The 24-year-old artist and dishwasher also said that he didn't pick up music until "later on in his life" (specifically, he started when he was 20) and taught himself how to sing.

Belting out tunes in the street and playing his guitar eventually helped Alejandro get over his fear of stage fright.
