Will Wade and the LSU basketball team won't be feeling too jolly this Christmas, as the Fighting Tigers head to the holiday on a two-game losing streak. Saturday night, LSU led for much of the game in Los Angeles against USC, but the Tigers gave up 42 points in the second half and lost to the Trojans 70-68 at the Staples Center.
The Bayou Bengals shot just 37% from the field and they were just 3-of-18 from 3-point territory. USC knocked down 11 3-pointers and they had five players in double figures.
LSU Senior Skylar Mays had 21 points to lead the Tigers. Trendon Watford had 17 points and 10 rebounds. Darius Days had a double-double 12 points and 11 rebounds, but was 0-for-5 from 3-point land.
Emmit Williams had a rough game. He got into foul trouble early and scored just four points.
LSU will play again on December 29th versus the Liberty Flames, who are undefeated at 14-0. LSU is 7-and-4. Three of the losses have been by two points.
