Ali Brooks, alumni engagement and travel manager with the LSU Alumni Association says the LSU Alabama matchup has always been a big rivalry to LSU fans and they want to be there.
"Given the excitement around the fact that LSU is number one going into this game, it's a big deal, so there is a lot of excitement, a lot of anticipation around this particular matchup so I think the purple and gold will come out in full force," Brooks said. For those making the trip but not going to the game. Brooks says if you are going to the game you may have trouble finding a room near the stadium but there probably rooms available outside of the area, although it might be a good idea to start booking as soon as you can.
"A hotel is probably going to be hard to find near campus," Brooks added.
She says many will be staying in nearby Birmingham.
"I know there are ample hotel availabilities in that area so I think if you go a little outside of Tuscaloosa you may have some luck in finding space, but similar to Baton Rouge on gameday there definitely will be traffic especially with a 2:30 kickoff so you'll just have to plan accordingly," said Brooks.
