New Orleans Police are investigating an early Saturday morning shooting that left one man dead.
The shooting occurred near the intersection of South Claiborne Avenue and Canal Street, around 4:30 a.m.
According to NOPD, the victim man was found lying face down under the I-10 overpass. He had suffered from a gunshot wound to the head and body.
He was pronounced dead on scene by EMS.
Police say this is the second shooting at that location in just under a week. A person of interest is still being sought that incident.
