New Orleans Police say a man has died after being shot in the French Quarter early Sunday morning.
The shooting took place in the 900 block of St. Louis Street, about 4:15 a.m.
According to initial reports given to police, a white female approached the victim, a black man, and the two got into a verbal altercation. The woman reportedly pulled out a gun and shot the victim before fleeing.
The man was taken to a nearby hospital, where he later died of his injuries.
Police officials did not give any additional details about the shooting, and did not disclose a motive or any information about a suspect.
