Louisiana State Police are looking for a man after a crash on I-10 over Lake Pontchartrain.
"On Thursday, June 4, 2020 shortly after 10:30pm, Troopers from Louisiana State Police Troop L responded to an injury crash on Interstate 10 eastbound on the Twin Span bridge," Trooper Jeremy Price said it happened on the St. Tammany Parish side of the bridge.
The missing man had been standing in the I-10.
"A driver that had exited their vehicle from a prior crash fell over the side rail of Interstate10 into Lake Pontchartrain," Price explained.
He says that happened when another vehicle slammed into the first two that had crashed.
"All of the occupants... were standing on the shoulder of the Interstate 10 bridge at the time of the impact."
He says they have not confirmed the identity of the missing man.
"The St. Tammany Sherriff’s Office Marine Division as well as the U.S. Coast Guard are conducting a search of the area for the driver."
