Terrebonne Parish Sheriff Jerry Larpenter says a man was shot and killed in Houma Saturday morning.
Parish deputies and detectives found 30-year-old Andrew Naquin of Houma about 2;15 a.m. in the 600 block of Corporate Drive.
He was treated on scene before Air Med transported him to an out of area hospital. Naquin died later at the hospital.
During this investigation deputies learned that after Vino’s Night Club closed there were multiple people hanging out in the parking lots when a fight occurred that resulted in a shooting. Immediately afterwards the suspects jumped into a silver in color Dodge Charger and fled the scene. Deputies obtained a description of the suspect vehicle and it was observed by an off duty TPSO deputy, working security at a Casino on La. 20 in Thibodaux. The deputy followed the suspect vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. Three suspects were taken into custody without incident and transported to the Sheriff’s Office where they were questioned by detectives. It was determined that Naquin and another man were the aggressors in the altercation. TPSO detectives consulted with the Terrebonne Parish District Attorney’s Office regarding brining this case before the grand jury. This case remains under investigation and anyone with information concerning this investigation is encouraged to call the TPSO detectives, (985)876-2500.
