New Orleans Police are searching for a 21-year-old man who is suspected of kidnapping a woman, hitting her with a gun, and making threats to kill her.
A warrant for arrest has been issued for Romalice Webster, he is wanted on counts of kidnapping, aggravated assault.
Police say Webster forced the woman into car with another man on Crowder Boulevard, Saturday.
Webster did this while armed with a gun and attacking the woman.
As the woman was being driven around the city, Webster is alleged to have threatened to kill the woman.
The woman managed to escape and call police.
By the time they arrived, Webster had fled the scene.
According to the Times-Picayune/New Orleans Advocate reports Webster has numerous run-ins with the law, including pleading guilty in December as a first time offender on charges of kidnapping and battery.
In exchange, Webster received a sentence of three years probation.
A check of back files show Webster has been wanted in the past for questioning by NOPD in two homicides.
