
A manhunt is underway for a registered sex offender from Alabama wanted in St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriffs.
The search for Aaron Dun began Tuesday night when he was spotted by Louisiana State Police driving a stolen Kia Soul on I-10 in LaPlace.
A press releases states Dun is suspected of leading officers in a pursuit, ultimately crashing the car off Foxwood Drive and then forcing his way in a home off Sugar Ridge Drive.
Dun reportedly held a 93-year-old woman, her 73-year-old daughter and a seven-year-old child with a knife.
He then forced the 73-year-old into a her car and drove off.
Dun is said to have released the woman at a hotel and escaped.
Aaron Dun is a registered sex offender from Birmingham.
He is wanted there on several outstanding warrants.
Meanwhile, St. John Parish wants Dun for home invasion, aggrevated kidnapping and armed robbery.
The State Police are also looking to charge Dun.
