New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell said before parade season got started that items left overnight on parade routes would be confiscated, and today she tweeted a reminder.

Reminder: Ladders should not be left on the neutral ground or sidewalks overnight. All left will be destroyed! Place ladders at least 6 ft from the street curb. Do not block intersections. https://t.co/90ekCJ0VTd #NOLAready @RoadworkNOLA@CityOfNOLA @nolaready @610Stompers pic.twitter.com/ETMulbK5fw

"We want you to pay attention to Mardi Gras enforcement procedures," said Mayor Cantrell during the city's pre-Mardi Gras news conference last week.  "Again, no nonsense, here."

It's not just ladders -- the city also warned folks about leaving furniture on neutral grounds, and also said that spray painting, roping, or taping off areas is also not allowed.
