Metairie Catholic school shows its support for Saints LB Demario Davis

Students and teachers at St. Louis King of France School in Metairie today showed their support of New Orleans Saints linebacker Demario Davis today with custom made headbands.

Davis received a $7,000 fine from the NFL for wearing a headband reading "Man of God." NFL rule forbid players from displaying "personal messages" on their uniforms.

"Thank you, Demario Davis, for reminding us that we are all Men and Women of God and we should lead by example," the school said in its Facebook post.

Davis shared pictures of the students on his own social media, and says he won his appeal of the fine.

‼️‼️‼️We’ve raised $30,000 from headbands AND I won my appeal! Always glory above so I’m donating that original $7,017 to @stdomhospital still. Ya’ll helped me turn a $7,000 negative into a $40,000 positive & got this school to support! Let’s go! #ManOfGodhttps://t.co/tUndNVQSk1 pic.twitter.com/gdph6GZUpE
