Monday morning will start off cool but we'll slowly begin to warm up this week.
"The warm-up continues into Tuesday and Wednesday when afternoons will make it to middle 70s or perhaps even upper 70s," said WWL-TV meteorologist Payton Malone. "It should still be really nice weather."
By Thursday we'll see more humidity for the metro New Orleans area and possibly showers as our next cold front approaches.
The cold front should move through Friday morning with showers and maybe a couple of thunderstorms. We are not expected to see severe weather with the front.
By Friday evening the rain should end and Friday night will be windy and cold.
The upcoming weekend looks dry and cool again.
