Peter Tork has died. He was 77.
He was diagnosed with cancer about ten years ago.
Family did not specify the exact cause of death.
Tork helped the Monkees score chart topping hits like "Last Train to Clarksville," "I'm a Believer" and "Daydream Believer"... which were all number one songs on the Billboard charts.
Tork sang and played bass. His real name was Peter Halsten Thorkelson.
