After showers canceled one Thursday night parade and pushed back two others, things are looking up for Friday's Carnival celebrations.
An upper disturbance is moving through the area, dropping rain chances to just 30 percent Friday afternoon and 20 percent at night.
WWL-TV weather expert, meteorologist Dave Nusbaum say we should see a mostly dry day.
"Friday will be drier, with mostly cloudy skies and only spotty showers and storms," says Nussbaum. "Highs will be in the upper 70s. And, we stay dry on Friday evening, so the parades look good."
And, Saturday looks much the same.
The rain returns on Sunday, though, with an 60 percent probability of showers during the day, and an 80 percent chance during the evening.
It should be dry and much cooler for Lundi Gras and Mardi Gras.
