You may notice the office is starting to empty out as people get ready for Thanksgiving. There will be a lot of traveling, according to the American Automobile Association.
"You can expect delays on almost every mode of transportation," said AAA spokesman Don Redman, who said there will be a near-record number of travelers this year.
"Other than 2005, this is the largest number of people headed out for the Thanksgiving holiday," said Redman. "Nationwide, we're talking about 55 million travelers. Regionally, from Texas to Florida and all states in between, we're talking, regionally for us, about 13 million."
Redman says most of them will be driving, although some will fly, and some will even cruise.
If taking a road trip, AAA recommends you check your battery, tire pressure, and your spare tire before heading out.
