The New Orleans Sewerage and Water Board has a new General Superintendent.
Officials today announced that Bob Turner, one of the people brought in to clean things up after the 2017 flooding, is now going to oversee operations of the drainage, water and sewer systems.
A news release says, "Turner joined the SWBNO as a member of the interim management team following the August 5, 2017 flooding event. During his tenure, he has been instrumental in getting the power supply of SWBNO updated and online."
The S&WB says Turner is a Registered Professional Civil Engineer with more than thirty-five years of experience.
Executive Director Ghassan Korban said, "I stand with Bob Turner and look forward to the impact he will have on this the organization in this role. He has been instrumental in helping us address many of the issues faced by this organization and he is committed to helping us move it forward... His experience and education are top-notch, and it is an honor for the Sewerage and Water Board to have him."
