The city of New Orleans is optimistic about coming up with a plan to demolish what is left of the Hard Rock Hotel construction site, but still has questions about a contractor's plan to take down the structure, WWL-TV reports.
Despite receiving a list of answers to questions it had about the latest demolition plans, the report says the city told the court it still has concerns, among them that it doesn't have a detailed-enough engineering report about what might happen when crews knock down 10 floors of the partially-collapsed building.
The city also wants the developers to acquire more liability insurance.
Judge Kern Reese will hold another hearing in the case tomorrow. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the hearing will be held via videoconference at 10:00 a.m.
